The Intercultural Progressive Foundation (IPS) is dedicated to promoting cultural expressions and fostering cultural exchanges within Dutch society. Established in early 1998, the foundation has organized a diverse range of projects and activities that aim to celebrate and enhance the cultural landscape of the Netherlands.
For over two decades, IPS has worked to bring together people from various cultural backgrounds through art, music, and other forms of creative expression. Based in The Hague, the foundation has become a vital part of the local cultural scene, with a particular focus on promoting intercultural dialogue and understanding.
Current Projects and Events
At present, IPS is proud to be organizing a series of Qawali Shows, which will take place during the fall of this year. These performances will bring the soulful, captivating music of Qawali to the heart of Dutch society, allowing audiences to experience the rich musical tradition from South Asia.
In addition to the Qawali shows, some of the performances will be complemented by an exhibition of paintings and calligraphy by Sadequainβone of the most renowned Pakistani artists and calligraphers of the 20th century. Sadequain’s work is known for its intricate detail and profound spiritual depth, making his paintings and calligraphy a perfect complement to the emotional intensity of Qawali music.
Sadequain is one of the greatest visual artists and Sufi poets of Pakistan. Dr. Salman Ahmad, chairman of Sadequain. For exhibition and performances we want to invite artists from different cities.
